Lacoflex SEBS is a material that behaves similarly to rubber, but with similarities to plastic. The thermoplastic elastomers of which SEBS are part are materials with two phases. A rubber phase of the flexible elastomer type, which gives them the typical properties of soft touch, elasticity, flexibility & minimum temperature of use. And a rigid plastic phase that determines the hardness, recycling and maximum temperature of use.
Lacoflex SBS are thermoplastic compounds based on SBS styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymers. Polystyrene is a hard plastic, resistant that gives durability to SBS. The polybutadiene is a material like rubber that gives characteristics. Its main application is in the shoe industry (soles injection), where it is easy to process at low cost and can be recycled.
